Jeff and I have been working so hard at the gym with Riley. I have to say that Riley is the perfet trainer. He is so nice that he can casually throw in more inclines, or increase the weight that we are lifting, without me telling him no. He just subtley sneaks it in. I only have 3 more weeks of the school semester left and then my evenings will be mine again! I am very grateful that the weather is getting nice again so that we can work outside in the yard and take nice long walks. Riley has set a goal for us to be down 3 more pounds by Monday. Jeff only has one more pound to go this week. He is rockin' it. I still have 3 more to go. I am going to give it all I got at the gym tonight and then stay really focused this weekend to make sure that my workout is meaningful and that I control what goes into my mouth.
This is such an awesome program to be a part of. We love seeing the other teams at the gym and seeing the great success that you are having. Team Pink is usually at the gym when we are training...look at their faces....they are totally slimming down and look fabulous!! What great motivation that is for me!

Ohhh....I am SO SORE!
You know that you should be very afraid when you walk into the gym and Riley's first few sentences are "Hey Guys! Are you ready to work really hard today? We are going to mix things up a bit." When I woke up this morning, I was still a little bit sore from our tough workout on Tuesday. After the workout tonight, it hurts to flex my toes! OK, it is really not that bad, but I am pretty sore! Circuit lifting is so HARD!!!!....but very rewarding.
Jeff and I remeasured our waist circumference and we have each lost over 2 inches around the waist. That was so exciting for us!! This hard work is really paining off. I guess the "no pain no gain" saying is true.

Another Workout Bites The Dust...boom, boom, boom!
We had another FABULOUS workout with Riley tonight. Yes, I can barely move, I am still trying to catch my breath, and half of my body trunk is slightly paralyzed....but I am stoked! I am stoked because I can feel myself getting stronger, and I can see results. It is such a good feeling. And the feeling that you get when your workout is complete is one of such immense satisfaction. I love the extra energy I have, and I love eating healthier. Bottom line....
I am such a happier person!
Now, true to our team name "ICY HOT," I must go and jump in the hot tub and then ice pack my sore muscles. It is the only way I will be able to get out of bed in the morning. :-)
See ya all in nutrition class in the morning!

Wow!
We worked so hard with Riley last night. I have been at work now for 30 minutes, and can barely get out of the chair. It is a good sore, but man can I feel that tough workout from last night.

Wahoo!
I got my treadmill over the weekend. Jeff and I are now able and equipped to work out at home, so we don't have to pull ourselves away from our daughter. I am so excited!!! So is my three year old. When she saw it all set up she ran to it and said "Mommy.....can I exercise?" May as well start her doing it young. It helps to wear her out to go to bed, too.
We meet with Riley tonight. I am so excited. BRING IT ON RILEY!!!

Still Truckin Along!
This has been another hard and rewarding week. We worked out with Riley twice. He thinks he is so sneaky....quietly pushing us to do more and more each workout. It is such a great euphoric feeling when the workout is done, and I just realized that I did one more internal, or increased the incline, or lifted heavier weights. It is such great satisfaction and a huge confidence builder. We always get home from the gym feeling sore and stiff, so we hop into the hot tub and let our muscles soak. That is become a life saver! I love the new level of energy that I now have with working out. I get my new treadmill today. Well, it's not really new, it's a hand-me-down, but it is new to me. I am so excited!!!!! Here's to another great week.

On the Right Path
I know I haven't been keeping up with this as well I should. Between working full time, going to school full time, and being a mother to a three year old, life just gets a little bit hectic.
Last Friday we had our weekly nutrition class and I left so excited about eating healthy!! I felt that we were given valuable tools to help us be successful in changing our eating behaviors. Jeff and I celebrated our one year anniversary over the weekend with a trip to Zion, so we weren't quite as strict as we should have been, but it definitely has made us much more aware of what we are putting into our mouths. This week we have been working on creating specific meal plans that we can lay out at the beginning of each week. I am horrible at eating when I am sensing any sort of change in emotion, i.e. happy, sad, angry, bored, so by doing this it helps to keep me in line.
We met with Riley tonight and had a very intense workout. I LOVED IT!!! These workouts have become a great stress relief for me. I must admit that I am really sore tonight, and I may not be able to move in the morning, but the energy and confidence it has given me has been awesome so far. It is also very helpful to be doing this challenge with my hubby. I can't imagine doing this on my own. He is such a great support to me.
Oh yeah.....Riley helped us choose a team name. OK, really Jeff and Riley chose it. Hopefully Jeff will post something about it on his blog (unless he already has...I haven't even read his for a few weeks!)
Off to do homework. :-)
